| Meduna Arzneimittel GmbH was founded in 1995 by Friedel Frauendorfer, ex Marketing and Sales Director Wellcome Germany. The original objective of the company was to import pharmaceuticals for the research industry not registered in Germany on “named patient” basis. This business area is continued, but today Meduna focuses on the commercialization of gastroenterological indications, anaesthesiology and intensive care.
Meduna´s offices are located in Isernhagen, outside of Hannover, in driving distance to key locations: Hannover International Airport (20 minutes drive), Berlin and Hamburg (1 to 2 hours drive). Meduna regularly delivers products to over 550 hospital pharmacies and wholesaler in Germany and exports to other companies worldwide.
There is a partnership for warehousing and distribution with Med-X-Press in D-38644 Goslar.
Personnel
Meduna employs a total staff of 14, including 7 office based professionals and 7 medical representatives, which primarily visit gastroenterologists and hospital pharmacists.
